Baumann wins bronze on parallel bars – titles for Radivilov, Arican and Belyavskiy

The Ukrainian Igor Radivilov succeedes in defending his title on vault. He’s the only gymnast to perform a vault with an initial score of 6.0 points: A picked double somersault with half twist. Andrey Medvedev from Israel takes silver ahead of Giarnni Regini-Moran from Great Britain. Nikita Nagornyy falls on his second vault and thus misses out on a medal in the first final of European Championships Basel 2021.

Christian Baumann wins bronze, his second individual medal at a European Championship. Gold goes to Ferhat Arican from Turkey. With a great routine, the Swiss Baumann finishes in third place, equal on points with Lukas Dauser from Germany. Second place goes to the Russian David Belyavskiy. Arican convinces with a strong routine and the highest starting score (6.6 points) and together with Baumann and Dauser the highest execution score (8.7 points).

The last gold medal of this European Artistic Gymnastics Championships wins the Russian David Belyavskiy on high bar. With a flawless routine he gets his fourth individual gold at a European Championships, the first title on high bar. Andreas Toba from Germany comes second in his first apparatus final ever. Adem Asil from Turkey wins bronze. Pablo Brägger from Switzerland falls at his home European Championships and, just like his team mate Christian Baumann, cannot intervene in the medal fight.
